You will need to bring a valid referral from your general practitioner, medical or surgical specialist. This is a HEALTH INSURANCE COMMISSION requirement, which will allow you to claim a MEDICARE rebate for your consultation.

General practitioner referrals are valid for 12 months. Specialist referrals are valid for 3 months. For long-term patients, an “indefinite” referral may be obtained if your general practitioner agrees.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you have an up-to-date referral prior to a consultation.

In accordance with government regulations, we are obligated to inform you that a confidential file will be kept containing results of your tests and other relevant information. Information regarding the outcome of your medical consultation will be sent to your referring doctor and copied to other health professionals involved in your care. All information we have will remain confidential.
Children under the age of 16 are not assessed in our practice. Please be aware that by law, your child can choose to have a consultation with one of our specialist practitioners without a parent/guardian present.

We are only medically registered to perform sleep studies on anyone over the age of 18 years. We do not perform sleep studies on anyone under the age of 18.
