Dr Steven Lindstrom
Dr Steven Lindstrom graduated from the University of Sydney with Class 2 Honours. Advanced training in Infectious Diseases was completed at Westmead Hospital followed by advanced training in Respiratory Medicine at Green Lane Hospital, Auckland and St George Hospital, Sydney. Dr Lindstrom has achieved dual specialist recognition in both Respiratory Medicine and Infectious Diseases through The Royal Australasian College of Physicians. A Sleep Medicine fellowship was subsequently completed at St George Hospital, resulting in Level 1 Sleep accreditation recognised by The Australasian Sleep Association.
Dr Lindstrom commenced specialist practice in the St George and Sutherland Shires in 1999. He began his hospital specialist career as a Visiting Medical Officer at The Sutherland Hospital, Sydney and is currently a Senior Staff Specialist at St George Public Hospital.
Dr Lindstrom became Department Head of Respiratory & Sleep Medicine at St George Hospital in 2005 and held this position until early 2018. Dr Lindstrom conceptualised and began the Pulmonary Hypertension Service at St George Hospital in 2009 and has supported multi-disciplinary care of patients with lung cancer and interstitial lung disease (pulmonary fibrosis). Dr Lindstrom has been strongly involved in both local and international research in the areas of community acquired pneumonia, pleural infection, bronchiectasis, COPD, pulmonary embolism and Sleep Medicine. He has been a conjoint lecturer affiliated with The University of NSW since 2005. Dr Lindstrom has supervised advanced trainees in Respiratory & Sleep Medicine over a period of 12 years to date.
Dr Lindstrom consults privately through practices in Miranda, located in the Sutherland Shire of Sydney and Kogarah, located in the St George area. Private hospital consultations take place at St George Private and Kareena Private Hospitals in all facets of Respiratory Medicine, Sleep Medicine and Infectious Diseases. Dr Lindstrom performs bronchoscopy at both St George Public and St George Private hospitals and Endobronchial Ultrasound guided transbronchial biopsies at St George Public Hospital. Lung function is reported at St George Public Hospital.
Dr Lindstrom has been a co-director of St George Private Sleep Laboratory since 2003, which is currently NATA accredited. A Home Based Diagnostic Sleep Study Service was developed as a stand-alone service fully governed and supervised by Dr Lindstrom since 2011. Patients are set up personally by a registered nurse through Miranda and Hurstville centres. Over 3000 high quality studies have been reported to date. A comprehensive and holistic service has developed to ensure patients are assessed and clinically evaluated without undue delay.
Dr Lindstrom has wide-ranging clinical experience and is dedicated to providing exceptional care to all patients. He has built his reputation on providing accurate, sensible, and well communicated medical opinions and management strategies. His longstanding establishment in the local area has resulted in a close professional working relationship with all colleagues in general practice, medical and surgical subspecialties with the intention of achieving the best outcomes for all patients. His secretarial staff are well trained, respectful and are dedicated in assuring that medical appointments are made efficiently to minimise waiting times.

Dr. Veronica Yozghatlian, consultant Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Physician, graduated from the University of Sydney with first class Honours and FRACP in 2004. She completed her PhD at University of Sydney studying microbial resistance and antibiotic treatment in chronic suppurative lung diseases, focusing on adult Cystic Fibrosis patients at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
Dr Yozghatlian has been practising in the Miranda rooms since 2010. She is a Staff Specialist at St. George Hospital and Visiting Medical Officer at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital consulting in the adult Cystic Fibrosis clinic. She is also a Visiting Medical Officer at Kareena Private Hospital. Veronica has a special interest in education and supervises junior medical officers as well as advanced trainees in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine.
Dr Yozghatlian’s special interests include respiratory infectious diseases with a focus on both Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and non-CF bronchiectasis. She also has a special interest in severe asthma and has started a specialised Severe Asthma Clinic at St. George Hospital. She is a member of the Lung Cancer Multi-Disciplinary Team at St. George Hospital and therefore can offer integrated care and expert input from surgeons, radiation and medical oncologists. Dr Yozghatlian completed Level 1 Sleep Training and has expertise in treating a broad variety of sleep disorders including complicated ventilation patients.
Dr Yozghatlian feels privileged to be able to practise in this field of medicine with a variety of conditions and a broad spectrum of patients. She has developed a special interest in transitioning paediatric patients to adult medicine. She finds her job incredibly rewarding and strives to provide compassionate patient care with a focus on open communication.

Dr Antony is a dual trained Respiratory and Sleep Physician. She completed her Advanced Physician Training in Sydney and was awarded her fellowship in 2013. Dr Antony has been consulting in both Kogarah and Miranda practices since 2015.
Current clinical practice covers a broad spectrum of respiratory disorders including airways disease (asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis), interstitial lung disease, lung cancer and sleep disorders. She also has an interest in General Medicine and Peri-operative Medicine and works as a Staff Specialist in General Medicine at St. George Hospital. In addition, Dr Antony holds admitting and consulting rights at St. George Private Hospital.
She has an interest in medical education and is on the panel of experts for Research Review. She provides expert commentary for the monthly Respiratory Research Review publication involving the critical appraisal of articles sourced from global respiratory journals. She also volunteers her time to present at educational meetings for general practitioners covering updates on evidence-based management of respiratory and sleep disorders.
